An Adoption retreat is in the works! We believe no matter how much love an adoptee receives, there are still wounds inherent in adoption. These wounds may not even be realized as coming from the adoption but every child placed for adoption has to grapple with the concepts of abandonment and anger. Additionally, much healing is needed for the birth parents who have experienced a tremendous loss. And adoptive parents have to heal many of their own wounds in order to best be present for their children. This doesn’t take away from the beauty of adoption. Rather, we feel the adoption process opens the doors to allow healing to take place. Please stay tuned in 2020 for an Adoption Retreat!
